Banner Bonanza Contest

A  Million Memories Announced the Winner of Their Banner Bonanza Contest  ..  I am so Happy to Be the Announced Winner!!!!!    I Love Banner's but don't have too much space to put them up, so I did this one for my Sweet Granddaughter's room.   I had 3 different Ideas,  and actually started 3 banners,  I still have to finish the other two.  It is a good thing I am the Room Mother for my DGD's Kindergarten class!  They get a banner for each season....

There were so many Beautiful Banner Entries, Banners, and Layouts with Banners.  Such Wonderful Talent at AMM

Meet Henry!!!

Well, That is what We Named him... My Daughter made this for our Thanksgiving Table, ( Much too big for the Table centerpiece, so He had His own Stage at The Entry Way).     Isn't he Gorgeous.  She is taking Floral Design Classes.   We Went to My In-Laws for Thanksgiving and she made this for her Grandmother and Grandpa.   Such a Treat !    Hope your Day was Full of Blessings!  Ours was Fabulous.

I am Cooking again today!!! Hubby loves to have Turkey Leftovers, so I will be baking and cooking all Day.

So what are your Plans?   Do you have a any Traditions?   

We will be going to my Mother-In-Laws for Thanksgiving as We do Most Every Year!  It is such a wonderful Day of Celebration for the many things we are So Grateful for..   I have had so many Blessings this year.

I so enjoyed having my Son and Daughter-in Law's Visit this Summer with her Family.  We had such a wonderful Month of Vacation time.   We truly enjoy her Family each and every time we can get together.  I have been so lucky that we are able to see each other at all because of him being Stationed in Germany.  I am so Proud and Thankful for his Service to Our Country!  I am Thankful That God Kept him Safe While he was in Afghanistan Last Year.   And that he will keep him Safe once again as he returns there in 1 month from now.

I am Thankful for My Daughters Victories she has had this year! IT has been a long and weary Road. 

I am so Thankful for My Sweet Granddaughter who brings the smile to face each and everyday.

I am so Thankful for My Darling Husband who is such a great Provider, Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather!

I can go on and on..... Thank you Father God for all your Many Blessing!

Now Here is a fun Thanksgiving project I got to do.

I made this " Thankful Banner"  for my DGD's Kindergarten Class!    I am a Room Mom.

Websters Pages 12 Days of Christmas Crop

Websters Pages Is finishing up their " 12 Days of Christmas Crop". there have been so many Inspirational Projects.. I just wish I had the time to complete each and everyone.... You Can check it out Here Websters Pages 12 Days of Christmas.  Here are a few projects I have been able to finish...  I am finishing up a few of the others, and will post them as I get them done.   The Holidays are making My Life pretty Busy right now.  

Here is a Shadow Box Project taught my Lucy Edson.    This is my take.. I had so much fun with this.  I used anold Plaster/chalk ware Frame with Cherrubs .   I sprayed the entire frame with Glimmer Mists, and then covered in Mica flakes for a frosty feel. 

This next project was a snowflake Taught by Audrey Pettit.

I found a Huge Foam and a plastic Snowflake.  I mixed the two to get my Frosty Wet Snowflake.  This measures 18" across.   I also cut a Cardboard smaller snowflake for dimension.   I just love the way this one came out.  When hung in the Window the sun shines through the center holes.  Really causing your Attention....    Thanks for Looking!

So So Proud

As I said bye to my Son on Wednesday, It was filled with a lot of Emotion.  Sorting through them I was going over all the photos we took in the last 3 weeks.   Here are some photos to share of him visiting An Elementary School.   These 4th and 5th graders wrote Rick while he was in Afghanistan last year.  They each sent him a letter of support along with art work.. It made such an impact on him, that he wanted to visit them this year and thank them personally... They all had lunch together as well.   I was floored at the great questions these kids had for him.   The questions kept coming all the way through lunch... Thought I would Share my Joy........

Vintage Piece of the Week

Well It has been quite a long time since I have been able to do the Vintage Piece of the week!
I have been enjoying my Son's visit While home on Vacation from Germany.  So many things needed to be done...   So Here It is:

Vintage Advertisement Ladies Paper Fans: 

These are so fun to collect.   There are Many types, and Styles to choose from:  My favorites are from the
1920's through the 50's.    It seems that I should have grown up in those times... ( Almost, I was born in the late 50's ;) ) Not to mention Life was so simple then... 

These fans are very easy to incorporate into your Scrapbook projects, Bring on such a fun Finish.

Jqacqueline Gnott ~ Contemporary Realism

I am a huge Fan of Still Life Watercolor... I have been through the Years collecting antique or Vintage Pieces.   Recently Randy has been Gifting Me with an Artist we found who is Incredible Jacqueline Gnott .
I started collecting her smaller pieces, because they are affordable.   I have a total of 4 now.  They are her series of Pear People,  Still life. Here are a couple below, I need to photograph my others..   However I just saw this on her Blog... I think I have died and gone to Heaven...  Measuring 30" x 20... but a little over my price range right now.   I would love to own this or something close.   Isn't it Yummy?     Click on it to make it larger... to soak in all its Goodness......

AMM June Kit

This kit is Amazing, I Love everything about this Kit..

This is a LO I did with the Kit...  Titled, You are THE FRESH SCENT OF SUN Dried Laundry.

I think that is my Favorite Scent ever.   Genesie is that Favorite Fresh Scent.  

Graphic 45 May Challenge

This is my Entry for the Graphic 45 May Challenge.   here . 
I love Altering Projects with their Paper.  It is probably my Favorite MFG. 

Stay Tuned for my Big Altered Project ... I am just so excited to get it finished. Of course it is in the G 45 Papers as well.  

An Altered Antique Purse.  I Took the Tattered purse apart and used G 45 papers for the Body of the purse.  The strips of Paper for the Ruffled edge.  I Got to also try the Roses that Stacy does over at AMM.  They are so fun,  I have been sitting in the evening just making up so many of these. 
I also placed several small vintage rhinestones in the little holes along the top of the rim of the purse to cover the holes where the purse is sewn to the Body.   I had so much fun.
